Toronto based musician and viola / violin teacher

Formed in 2015 at McGill University, the SOMA Quartet has since gone on to perform at the National Arts Centre, Ottawa Chamberfest, and the Prince Edward County Music Festival in Picton, Ontario. The SOMA Quartet was the String Quartet in Residence at the 2016 SoundSCAPE Festival in Maccagno, Italy and also performed at the Auditorium della Fondazione Banca del Monte in Lucca as part of their Italian tour. As the recipient of Ottawa Chamberfest's 2017 "Career Development Residency", the ensemble presented formal recitals alongside a variety of innovative projects including educational performances for young audiences and the Khlebnikov Project with Danny Michel and Rob Carli. The SOMA Quartet has premiered works by composers Nick Virzi, Joungbum Lee, Miggy Torres and Gabriel Bouche Caro. The quartet has also collaborated with renowned artists such as pianist Hinrich Alpers, soprano Tony Arnold, violinist Mark Fewer and conductor Tim Weiss.
